Giardia lamblia (w.m.)
Photomicrograph of the trophozoite or active stage of Giardia. Note two nuclei and tear-drop shape. Magnification: 1000x. A photomicrograph of a prepared slide showing Giardia lamblia in the trophozoite (active) stage, magnified 1000x. This cell appears rounded at one end and pointed at the other (like a tear-drop) and has two nuclei (light-colored ovals) toward the top. Though Giardia cells have multiple flagella, these are not visible.
