A photomicrograph of a prepared slide showing Rhizopus stolonifer or bread mold, stained pink and magnified 100x. The oval-shaped sporangium containing asexual sporangiospores is formed at the end of a modified hypha called a sporangiophore (left of center). The numerous, pink, thread-like structures present in the background are broken hyphae.
