Catalog Description:

An introduction to the main concepts of biology. Covers molecular and cell biology, heredity and nature of genes, biotechnology, evolution, diversity of life, and principles of ecology. Designed for non-lifescience majors desiring an introductory biology course with a lab. Students enrolling in Bio.Sci. 11 after having taken Bio.Sci. 10 will lose credit for Bio.Sci. 10.
Units: 4; Advisory: Eligibility for English 1A or E.S.L. 40W, and Math 12 or equivalent
Transfer: CSU/UC*
