Please view the following Web site for general online information and Sierra College's Blackboard Orientation Requirements: http://lrc.sierra.cc.ca.us/dl/. Without this information you will not be able to access class instructional materials (lectures, announcements, assignments, quizzes, etc.) When our summer session starts additional course material will become available on the Blackboard site at the following address: http://sierracollege.blackboard.com/

Required textbooks:

The textbook required for this course is available in two versions, with or without a CD. The CD is NOT required so you can purchase a book without a CD however; you may find the CD helpful since there are review questions at the end of the chapters that refer to CD activities and great animations to supplement your lectures. The textbook for this class is: "Essential Biology" – 3rd Edition, by the authors: Campbell, Reece & Simon - ISBN # 0-8053-6842-6. This book can be purchased at the Sierra College Bookstore. To view an image of the book, click on this Amazon.com link: Essential Biology - 3rd Edition or visit the Sierra College Bookstore.

I'm glad you have decided to study biology this semester! It will be fun! Please make an effort to buy your textbook by then. Please contact me if you have any questions.
